In founding the Law Office of Alexander Sakin, LLC, I drew on my substantial experience representing a variety of clients both in and out of the courtroom, in employment law matters and in business disputes and negotiations. 

I am both a legal advisor and litigator.  As an advisor, I have assisted Wall Street traders, startups, technology companies, and hedge fund owners on employment and contractual matters.

On the litigation front, I have represented individuals and companies in all sorts of legal disputes in numerous forums, including several federal jury trials, mediations, arbitrations, and before the New York state courts.  I have also served the people of New Jersey as a Deputy Attorney General. 

Over the course of my career, I have appeared on behalf of salespeople, Wall Street executives, employees in the hospitality industry, insurance industry professionals, investors, manufacturers, international private equity firms, and startups, among other clients.

Prior Experience

Before founding the Firm, I served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Corruption Bureau of the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, where I prosecuted corrupt politicians, civil servants, and businesspeople.  In that capacity, I was part of the prosecution team that obtained the conviction of a prominent New Jersey political figure who stole more than $1.9 million from various individuals, including a war widow and a senior citizen.

In the private sector, I worked for over 5 years at Harris, St. Laurent & Chaudhry LLP, a top-notch litigation boutique based in Manhattan.  At Harris, I worked for a variety of clients, both corporate and individual, playing key roles in three federal jury trials, as well as numerous arbitrations and mediations.  One highlight of my career included winning two federal jury trial verdicts of over $20 million for an education industry client cut out of a profitable business venture. 

I started my career at the New York offices of Latham & Watkins LLP, a premier global law firm, where I worked on several high-profile, high-stakes litigations, including the representation of a major international investment bank in a month-long trial in Tennessee state court stemming from a failed merger.
